Those eyes

Those eyes, they were of the weak men

I felt them on me

Judgmental and insecure

Even though they knew I would succeed for sure

Those eyes, they were too sparkly

I felt them on me

But how were they so deep and dark inside?

When I looked at them,

Why did I think that they never lied?

Those eyes, they were of the gossip queens

I felt them on me

Constantly interfering and peeping

Into my life

I never understood

What was their strife?

Those eyes, they were of a stranger

I felt them on me

Trying to picture me

Into their fantasy world

They portrait of being gutsy

As their abuses hurled.

Those eyes, all of those eyes

They were of this society

Of this community I belonged,

They were you and me, this world

Where wrong always prolonged.
